Designing what makes shared experiences work
I came up wrangling live graphics for hurricanes at WCPX-TV (CBS) in Orlando. Clarity on-screen was a lifeline for millions of people in the storm, and that job set my bar for visual communication. My work remains focused on making complex systems understandable without flattening the world around them.

Matt Firor
Studio Director, ZeniMax Online Studios
Gary is an immensely talented designer UX / UI designer that I have had the privilege to work with over many years, including foundational work on the User Experience for Elder Scrolls Online, as well as other games in development and our web portal at ZeniMax Online Studios. He is professional, on-time and a joy to work with. Highly recommended.

Nicholas Konkle
Game Director, Riot Games
I would certainly recommend Gary as a UX designer who can tell a team what they need to do to build the foundation, and then follow that team through the entire building process. He's also brings a very unique style to team-dynamics that is both entertaining and valuable, and was often a big driver of attention to detail for an entire team.

Visual Design Lead, Huge
Gary's contributions to standardizing interface design on the sports titles while I was at EA was nothing short of inspiring. The shear magnitude of standardizing styles across multiple game titles and studios worldwide was an amazing feat. Gary is super passionate about his work and strives to do everything possible to bring it to the next level. I learned a lot about UI working with him and would recommend him to anyone asking.

It's obvious from Gary's portfolio that he can make anything look great. What makes him unique is the intelligence with which he approaches his design work, and how he interfaces with a team. Gary is thoughtful, empathetic and passionate about his mission. He understands users, and even better, he understands the people who he works with. Gary is a designer's designer.
